Okay, let's see if we got this straight ... Now that the
Supreme Court has upheld most of Obamacare
we're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are
forced to purchase and fined if we don't, which purportedly
covers 10 to 30 million more people without
adding a single new doctor (even
causing
established doctors to quit), but
provides for 16,000 new IRS agents to make sure you have
enough health insurance (and fine you and audit you if you
don't), more
than 180 new government agencies including 33
new government committees to make decisions for us and our
doctor, and a
militarized civilian "ready reserve
corps", all to be staffed, of course, by
thousands of additional overpaid government employees
who can't be fired, and unionize all 21 million
healthcare workers in the country, all authorized by a
2,700 page bill written by a congressional
committee whose chairman at the time says he doesn't
understand it, (now
with more than 20,000 pages of additional
regulations -- so far -- still pouring out of
HHS), passed by the Democrats in
Congress who didn't read it but exempted themselves from
it, and signed by a President who smokes ...
...
Now, this act has multiple "side effects" according to this
report by two of the doctors in the Senate, an act
which establishes permanent uncertainty about more
than 1,000 questions, including "What constitutes
a medical expense?" by authorizing the HHS Secretary to
suddenly change the answers to them by arbitrary snap
decision at any time, with funding administered by a
Treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes but will make
sure we pay ours, for which we'll be taxed for four
years before any benefits take effect (but
RATIONING has already started), which forces
religious institutions to "pay for health insurance that
covers sterilization, contraceptives and abortions" against
their will, which takes
hundreds of billions away from Medicare, raises
the armed forces members' premiums on Tricare,
and then imposes
more than 20 new taxes, 12 of which hit those who
earn LESS than
$200,000 and most of which kick in after the 2012 elections (some of which
deliberately hamper our best medical device innovators -- and
cost 45,000 jobs in that industry alone, and If you sell
your house after 2012 you'll pay a new 3.8% sales tax
on it, $7,600 on a $200K home)...
...
And yet this plan was scored by a
non-partisan Congressional Budget Office that
says it will add another
TRILLION dollars to the
national debt anyway, cause
the loss of 800,000 jobs and could result
in 20 million people losing their
employer-sponsored heath insurance coverage
despite Obama's
promises, and while
Obama promised that
families would pay $2500
a year LESS for health
insurance, THEY NOW PAY
$3000 MORE,
and now the
President has given hundreds of waivers to
organizations he favors so they can exempt
themselves from this scheme, which punishes
hospitals for re-admitting Medicare
patients "too soon" and deliberately
ignores the desperate needs for tort reform,
for the ability of individuals to deduct
premiums from income taxes as employers can,
for the ability to choose catastrophic
insurance only, for the ability to buy
insurance across state lines, all the
other real causes of the health care cost
explosion
and the fact that there's
no such thing as a "right" to the services
of other human beings....
...
All of this is based on the
questionable premise that politicians are more honorable
than doctors, get to order them around and write rules
for how they run their practices while using government
agencies and bureaus to reward friends and punish (deny
care to?) opponents, and all this is to be overseen
by a Surgeon General who is obese and an
administrator chosen by the president who called for
the rationing (and who says "I love it" about the
British Nationalized Health Service in which 25,000
cancer patients die every year while still on waiting
lists), and financed by a government that is already
broke and has already bankrupted Social Security and
Medicare, is that right?
Are we going to re-elect
Democrats
knowing full
well that THEY
WILL VOTE
AGAINST
REPEAL?
And even if the Congress and a new
president can repeal most or all of it, Obama, Hillary
and their gang of Democrat control freaks are determined
to re-enact every bit
of Obamacare
piece-by-piece, sooner or later, after all?
What's the matter with them, anyway?
-
Is
Obamacare the runaway winner of the "America's Worst
Idea" contest, or what?
